Schloss Vollrads, Schlosshof und -garten
The Rheingau Music Festival has long since discovered the virtues of the palace as a rather special venue, and holds concerts and festivities in the shadow of the tower which Goethe described as »whimsical« during his visit in 1814. In the balmy nights of the Rheingau’s summer, the grounds are suffused with an atmosphere all their own, ideally matched to the jazz rhythms that then predominate. The traditional Palace Gala at Vollrads, held on a Saturday in August, is a reassuringly regular recurrence of abundant musical and culinary delights on the palace stages, bathing the entire grounds in the sonic subtleties of swing.
Parking options
There is only an extremely limited number of parking slots on the grounds of the palace itself. As soon as these are occupied, our parking service will divert arriving cars to the parking options in the surrounding vineyards. Visitors to the concerts should allow sufficient time for their journey, and wear sturdy shoes, since several minutes’ walking may prove necessary.
Shuttle Service
For the Palace Gala on 11 August, special buses will run from Wiesbaden, which visitors can use by presenting their concert tickets. The buses stop immediately in front of the palace. Departures are 70 and 60 minutes before the concert begins, at Wiesbaden Main Station (Bus Platform D), though you can also board the bus at the Platz der Deutschen Einheit (Platform B) and at the Kahlemühle P+R car park (Wiesbaden-Dotzheim).
Please note that there won't be a shuttle service for the event "Rund um den Globus" ("Round-the-world"), on August 12th, 2012. The on-location parking facilities can be used.

The Gutsrestaurant treats its guests fresh-each-day meals prepared to perfection. From the Rhine-Main area:
-> B 42, take the Winkel exit (towards “Schloss Vollrads / Brentano Haus”)
-> turn right towards Johannisberg
-> follow the bending main road to the left, towards Johannisberg (“Schloss Vollrads”)
-> At the end of the village, turn right and follow the signs to “Schloss Vollrads”
