Windsbacher Boys’ Choir

»The Windsbacher Boys’ Choir is acknowledged nowadays as the world’s leading ensemble of its kind. The choir has amply demonstrated its justly celebrated discipline and its stunning vocal virtuosity at its international concerts over recent years, not least at numerous appearances organised by the Rheingau Music Festival.«
Founded in 1946 by Hans Thamm as a choir of the Bavarian Protestant National Church, the Windsbacher Boys’ Choir focuses principally on performing sacred music. It possesses a broadly diversified repertoire, covering all the epochs of musical history, from the Renaissance to the present day. Under the aegis of Karl-Friedrich Beringer, the choir has since 1978 evolved into one of the world’s most highly regarded vocal ensembles.
