Programme to be announced
Six young Hungarian singers, two men and four ladies, aged between 22 and 28, have set themselves to revitalise the music of the American swing era and the all-time favourites of jazz solely with the sound of their unaccompanied voices. From the jazz standard “Tea for Two” and the Ray Charles classic “Hit the Road Jack” to the Rhythm & Blues hit “Son of a Preacher Man”, they give each of the songs a distinctive interpretation all their own; their own “spice”, as the six singers like to put it themselves. In 2009, Jazzation won Second Prize at the 3rd International A CAPPELLA Competition in Leipzig, beaten in an international field only by an ensemble from France. But some of Jazzation’s members are still studying or have just graduated from music college in various vocal disciplines. So they still have plenty of time – but plenty of ambition as well! At Concert & Brunch, they will be showing you what they can do!
