The actor and cabaret artiste Michael Quast was born in Heidelberg in 1959. After studying at the College for Music and the Performing Arts in Stuttgart, his work has taken him to venues like the Düsseldorfer Kom(m)ödchen, the Frankfurt Theatre and the Frankfurt Opera House. Since 1985, Michael Quast has been regularly appearing with various solo cabaret programmes. For his brilliant stage performances Michael Quast has won accolades like the Salzburger Stier (Cabaret Prize of the German-speaking broadcasting corporations) in 1991, the German Cabaret Prize in 2001 and the Binding Culture Prize in 2007.
