Weingut Künstler, Hochheim
The Künstler family’s winery can trace its history back to 1648, to the South Moravian town of Unter-Tannowitz. After the Second World War, the Künstlers had to leave their home in present-day Czechia, and father Franz Künstler settled in Hochheim to lay the foundations for what has become one of the most successful family firms in the Rheingau. Since then, the winery has been producing concentrated, mineral-dry, exquisitely elegant Riesling wines that rank among Germany’s best.
