Great voices at the Rheingau Musik Festival
In three concerts we focus on big voices with baroque music. The three vocal artists form snapshots of baroque operas in their concerts and slip into the roles of baroque stage heroines and heroes. With the exquisite combination of virtuosity, naturalness and expertise, the three outstanding singers want to open their ears to the concert guests for the beauties of Baroque soundscapes. The first will be performed by the Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Vesselina Kasarova together with the Italian baroque ensemble Concerto de 'Cavalieri under the direction of Marcello Di Lisa. the Knight Ruggiero from Handel's "Alcina" her voice (27.6). Julia Lezhneva is dedicated to Dmitry Sinkovsky and the Moscow Ensemble La Voce Sturmentale, among others. Vivaldi's opera "Ercole, sul Termodonte" and "Alessandro" by Handel (20.7.). Together with Il Giardino Armonico under Giovanni Antonini, Anna Prohaska deals thematically with Dido, Queen of Carthage, and Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt, as well as arias by Graupner, Sartorio and Hasse (7.8.).
